The organisation is highly recognized for it's Toy Library Programme, which invites and collect new and used educational materials and toys from donating companies and institutions and drop them to local creches and day care centres.

We are an organization that aim at helping unemployed youth, unskilled matriculated and school drop outs in our community with information and skills to better their lives, assist them to further their studies with information to get bursaries, learner ships, and to be employable in our growing economy. She saw what families go through while in treatment and realised there was a need that she could fulfil since she had lived the journey herself. We assist families that are fighting childhood (0 to 16 years) cancer with emotional and financial support. We will pay medical bills, buy food vouchers, pay for petrol money, etc as when cancer strikes usually the mother cannot work any longer as the child requires 24/7 care. We also spoil kids while in treatment and support mom’s after a child has passed. Our organisation was born in 1999 as a service to woman. Counselling and weekly meetings to equip ladies to deal with various issues. From there it grew into a body that not only serves women, but the community of Durbanville and surrounding areas. The need for another 'safe-house' was established and Ray of Sunshine House saw the light. Two day-care centres were founded to help working mothers who are not earning enough to pay regular day-care fees. The one centre has since been handed over to the community as a project with us just keeping an eye over it. Clothing and appliances are collected and distributed where needed.
